The GROOVE-90, distributed exclusively by AMES, is the ultimate portable milling machine for gypsum drywall panels, plywood, solid wood, aluminum, and more. This German-engineered multi-cutter system precisely cuts V-grooves, allowing drywall contractors to quickly form outside corners, soffits, column wraps, and other structures—without the need for corner bead, joint compound, or joint tape. The result is a flawless corner that won’t crack.

Lightweight and portable, the GROOVE-90 delivers the performance of a stationary machine. It can cut multiple kerfs to create radius profiles or even round columns from gypsum or plywood. What dust collection system should I use?

Any commercial shop vacuum works. For best results we recommend the Bosch 140AH Portable 14-Gallon HEPA Vacuum, sold in our Pro Kit.

How often do cutters or blades need replacement?

The GROOVE-90 cutter uses replaceable blades — you do not replace the full cutter attachment. Blades typically mill 3,000–5,000 linear feet depending on material and dust extraction.

What adhesive is best to use with the GROOVE-90?

The G90 kit includes:

  • A commercial hot glue gun
  • A case of glue sticks
This adhesive cures extremely strong, producing reinforced corners without needing corner bead. Cleaner cuts and fewer seams also mean less mud and less sanding
